Episode 68: Grease

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John star in this hit musical comedy about a greaser and the good girl he falls for - much to his friends' chagrin.
It's rare that we roll a movie that probably everyone has seen before. Grease is the story about how the greaser boy gang falls in love with the greaser girl gang but they all pretend that they're going to be able to marry someone from a different clique that isn't damned to wrench cars for the rest of their lives. Also, pretend that they're not 35 years old. This movie is a nostalgic journey for those of us that grew up in the 60s where you get to remember those classic hang-out spots such as make-out point, the soda shop, the carnival, etc. No listener of this podcast is that old nor are the hosts so... Two stars. After the news, Godon rewrites my positive review of La La Land with his more critical one and then talks video games. I've watched two seasons of Girlmore Girls on Netflix so get my hot take on the show that every girl has already watched. Next week, we're listening to Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom.
