Episode 92: The Spy Who Went Into the Cold

The Spy Who Went Into the Cold

Learn the true story of Kim Philby, a senior official at MI6 whose 1963 defection to Moscow exposed his 30-year career as a spy for the Soviet Union.

IMDb

This documentary should be retitled "The Spy Who Zzz." I had no idea that the secret ingredient of ZzzQuil was the essence of this bore-athon but there you have it. Gordon and I both fell asleep trying to figure out what it actually was that Kim Philby did but this documentary doesn't tell you anything except he was a drunk and he eventually moved to Russia to help Trump win the 2016 US Presidential election or something. Read the Wikipedia entry for something actually educational and entertaining. After the news, we're rambling about The Founder, Trolls, BoJack Horseman Season 4, and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Next week, we're watching Cats & Dogs.
